This is the third hour. I started rendering, but I made sure to organize the three tones in the thumbnail before I started adding more tones. I also tried to accentuate the gesture a little bit. Any input is appreciated!
Much better. I like how you're not just copying the values. That's okay as long as it's your intent to do that. Now get rid of all your lines. Try and get things to separate with value now. It's okay to lose edges. Remember that if something is separating in an image it's due to a value change. Not really line. I was naturally a line guy so this took me a long time to understand. Painting was a foreign concept to me for a long time.
